Hello! One of the first challenges in learning Korean is aspirated sounds.
The consonants ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, and ㅎ are characterized by a strong burst of air when pronounced.

They are also the sounds most commonly confused with plain consonants (ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ).

4. Tip for Pronouncing Aspirated Sounds
When practicing aspirated sounds, try placing your palm or a thin piece of paper in front of your mouth.
When you pronounce ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ,
if you can feel a strong burst of air on your hand or see the paper move,
that means you are doing it correctly!
