Today, we’ll review the Korean aspirated consonants “ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, ㅎ,” which many learners find difficult, and practice them through a word reading quiz!

Aspirated consonants are sounds pronounced with a strong burst of air.

4. Study Tip

When pronouncing aspirated consonants, 

you should release much more air than with plain consonants (ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅈ).

Try placing a piece of paper in front of your mouth while speaking. 

If the paper moves strongly, you are pronouncing the sound correctly!
